Pella — Jon and Betsy Rippentrop of Swisher, Iowa are the parents of a baby girl, Gretta Grace, born February 1, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.  Gretta weighed eight pounds and was 21 inches long.  She was welcomed home by two brothers, Pieter (6) and Jack (3).

Grandparents are Jim and Sue Brandl and Ed and Vivian Rippentrop of Pella.  Paternal great-grandmothers are Winifred Pommer of Pella and Adah Rippentrop of Titonka, Iowa.
