Terry and Jennifer Thorington of Des Moines, IA are pleased to announce the birth of a baby boy, Jesse James, born June 1, 2011. Jesse weighed in at 9 lbs 2 ozs and was 20 1/4 inches long. Jesse joins big brother, Isaac, age 5 and big sister, Carletta, age 3. Grandparents are Gene and Ellouise Meinders of Pella, Gary Thorington of Blue Grass and Sheila and Raymond Lulich of Colona, IL.

Aaron and Beth (Thompson) Phillips of Stromsburg, NE, are the proud parents of a baby girl, Sophia Mae, born June 10, 2011 at Bryan LGH in Lincoln, NE. She weighed 6 lbs. 11 1/2 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Arlen and Luann Phillips of Oskaloosa, IA and Dave and Sandy Thompson of Stromsburg, NE. Great-grandparents are Henry and Leona Van Arkel and Wayne Phillips of Oskaloosa, Bill and Jan Thompson of Stromsburg, NE and Gary and Donna Leitschuck of Beatrice, NE. She was welcomed home by Olivia Dawn, 13 months.

Tim and Dawn Van Haaften of Pella are the proud parents of a little girl, Estelle Simone, born at 8:53am at Pella Regional Hospital on June 15, 2011. Estelle was 5 lbs. 8 oz. and 18 1/2 inches long. She was welcomed home by her big brother Sid Rockford. Grandparents are Donna Bennett of Harvey, John and Jane Van Haaften and Nellie and Les Fee of Pella.

Jesse and Angela Veenstra of Johnston are the parents of a baby girl, Natalie Joy, born April 28. She weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Grandparents are Mike and Cathy Veenstra of Pella and Darrel and Deb Flikkema of Churchill, Montana. Great-grandparents are Angie Van Den Berg and Sarah Veenstra of Pella, Henry and Marilyn Flikkema of Churchill and Jean Van Dyken of Ontario, California.
