Luke and Kendra Slings of Grimes are the parents of a daughter, Charlotte Jo, born July 22. Charlotte weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 inches long. She will be welcomed home by 3 brothers, Garrick, age 8, Isaac, age 4, and Evan age 2. Maternal grandparents are Verlan and Kathy Arkema of Pella. Paternal grandparents are Dennis and Georgia Slings of Kellogg. Maternal great-grandparents are John and Lois Klyn of New Sharon. Paternal great-grandparents are Guy and Janet Jansen of Pella and Ed and Gert Slings of Newton.
