Josh and Renae Douglas of Pella are the proud parents of a baby boy, Emmett Bradley Shane Douglas, born January 7, 2010 at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. Emmett weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches in length. James and Aldria welcomed Emmett home. Maternal grandparents are Anna and George Shores and Shawn and Sue Jahner. Paternal grandparents are Mike and Sherry Goff and Verna and Clarence Douglas.

Charlie and Katie Thomas, University Park, Iowa, are the proud parents of a son, Colton Wade, born December 4, 2009. Colton weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 21 inches in length. Big sister, Natalie, age 4, welcomed Colton home. Maternal Grandparents are Bryce and Verla Van Vark, Pella. Paternal Grandparents are Chuck and Cindy Thomas, Oskaloosa.
