Vermeer names Jason Andringa and Doug Hundt Presidents, Tony Briggs Vice President

Jason Andringa has been named Vermeer President, Forage and Environmental Solutions; Doug Hundt has been named Vermeer President, Underground and Specialty Excavation Solutions.  Tony Briggs has been named Vermeer Vice President, Sales and Distribution.

Vermeer Corporation is pleased to announce several promotions within its leadership.  Jason Andringa has been named to President, Forage and Environmental Solutions. Doug Hundt has been named to President, Underground and Specialty Excavation Solutions.  Both Andringa and Hundt will co-chair the Vermeer executive team, reporting to Mary Andringa in her continuing role as Chief Executive Officer of Vermeer Corporation.  In addition, Tony Briggs has been named to Vice President, Sales and Distribution.



Jason Andringa has been with Vermeer since June 2005, most recently as vice president with responsibility over distribution and global accounts prior to his new role.  As president, he will now have oversight of the forage and environmental segments, building visibility to biomass, as well as industrial distribution and corporate engineering.  Prior to employment at Vermeer, Andringa was with NASA for five years as staff engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and as a co-operative education student at Johnson Space Center.  A resident of Pella, Iowa, Andringa graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Calvin College, an M.S. in Aeronautics/Astronautics from MIT, and an MBA from the University of Southern California.



Doug Hundt has 19 years of service with Vermeer in sales, marketing, product development and manufacturing.  He was named a Vermeer vice president in 1999, and was Group Vice President over industrial prior to this promotion.  In his role as president, he will oversee the underground and excavation segments, as well as international entities and emerging markets.  Hundt has extensive manufacturing and leadership experience, and serves on a number of boards and civic associations including the Iowa State University Dean’s Advisory Council.  Hundt lives in Pella, Iowa, and is a graduate of Iowa State University in Ames.



Tony Briggs has been named to his vice president role after joining Vermeer in 1998 and working in marketing, sales and various management positions.  Briggs was most recently director of underground solutions, and received his MBA from Drake University after receiving his B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa.  Briggs serves on a variety of boards and associations, including the Power and Communications Contractors Association Board of Directors, and lives in Pella, Iowa.
