Rob and Sandy De Cook were married June 9, 1959 at Pella Second Christian Reformed Church. Their three children and families are: Christy and Craig Buma, Cassie, Michael, and Jordan, Terry De Cook, and Donna and Eric Van Ee, David, Aaron, and Lydia. They will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary with a family dinner in June, and taking an Alaska cruise in July.

Tulip Time successful, despite snow
Tulip Time, earlier this month, saw extra adversity this year in the form of an unexpected snowfall. Despite the odd weather, Dick Redman of the Tulip Time Steering Committee is proud of what the town accomplished.

Marine weds high school sweetheart before deployment
Wesley Hoksbergen and Taylor Carter of Pella were wed around 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon in a civil ceremony. Wesley is on his way to North Carolina to rejoin his Marine unit, and is preparing to deploy to Afghanistan in the Spring.
