Central College athletic trainer John Roslien has been selected to work with Team Stars & Stripes – a 37 high school senior football All-star team. The team will be traveling to France to take part in the Global Bowl France organized by Global Football (Patrick Steenberge).
The team leaves for Paris, France on March 13 and will have a week to practice along with sightseeing and the event concludes with Team Stars & Stripes playing a Belgium All-Star team on Saturday, March 20 in Amiens, France.
Roslien recently was part of the Tazon de Estrellas event in Mexico City which was also organized by Global Football and Patrick Steenberge.
While in France, Team Stars & Stripes will combine practice sessions with cultural sightseeing including the spectacular sights of the Palace of Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, and the Normandy region before taking on the Belgian all-star team.
“These tours provide an opportunity for young amateur athletes from different countries to compete against one another, while experiencing and learning firsthand about cultures, customs and history,” said Steenberge. “The game at the end of the week is the highlight, but the friendships and memories the players bring home with them will last a lifetime.”
