Margaret Tungseth, vice president for finance and administration at Central College, has been awarded the position of treasurer at the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA)., Tungseth will be treasurer for the 2012-13 membership year.
“To be successful as a business officer, I feel it is important to get involved beyond my own campus,” said Tungseth. “Expanding my perspective by engaging other leaders in strategic discussions benefits me personally but also Central College, in terms of what I can bring back to my position.”
Tungseth served as treasurer from 2004-2009. As a second-time treasurer of the organization, she displays leadership and dedication to risk management in colleges and universities around the country. Tungseth also served as president of URMIA from 2009-2010.

Central College holds 2013 baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies
Baccalaureate service, a gathering of the class, will begin at 3 p.m. in Douwstra Auditorium. A wine and cheese reception for the senior class, hosted by Central College President Mark Putnam and his wife Tammy, will be held in the Bornt Plaza and Graham Annex at 4 p.m. The commencement ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. in H.S. Kuyper Fieldhouse.
