The Wild Prairie Woodwind Quintet will play at Central College Sunday, April 26, in the Cox-Snow Recital Hall beginning at 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Wild Prairie will perform works by Hindemith, Resanovic, Reicha and University of Iowa professor Jeffery Agrell. Members of the quintet are music professors from around the state.
Lisa Bost-Sandberg is a flutist, composer and improviser. Bost-Sandberg currently is an adjunct instructor of flute and world music at Clarke College. Bost-Sandberg also has performed with the Ottumwa, Dubuque and Cedar Rapids Symphonies.
Susan Odem, oboe, teaches double reeds at Central College and Simpson College. Odem is a member of the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra.
Cynthia Doggett, clarinet, is assistant professor of music at Central College. Doggett regularly appears throughout the Midwest as a soloist, recitalist and clinician. Recently, Doggett had a soloist performance with the Central Iowa Symphony.
Janet Baldwin, bassoon, is the principal bassoonist with the Central Iowa Symphony and the Ottumwa Symphony.
Guinevere McIntyre, horn, teaches horn at Grinnell College and Drake University. McIntyre has performed with the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra and the Drake Faculty Brass Symphony.
