CENTERVILLE — An Appanoose County woman has become the seventh person arrested in a narcotics case centered on Udell.
The Appanoose County Sheriff's office arrested Angela Snyder, 48, Udell, at the Appanoose County Law Center. She is charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine and ongoing criminal conduct, both Class B felonies.
Authorities executed a search warrant for a residence at 201 Fourth Ave. in Udell last month. They found evidence the site was being used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Snyder allegedly worked with others to buy pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in methamphetamine. Iowa law limits how much pseudoephedrine a person can buy at any one time, so people who make methamphetamine have been known to purchase the limit at multiple locations or to use larger groups of people making smaller purchases to assemble enough to make the drug.
Snyder is being held in the custody of the Appanoose County Sheriff on $200,000 bond.
Snyder was charged as part of an ongoing narcotic investigation conducted by the Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office, Members of the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Centerville Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and Iowa State Patrol.
Persons previously charged in the investigation and their charges include:
Cliff Allen Lowe, 40, Udell, conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B felony, possession of a firearm by felon, a Class D felony, possession of a precursor with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, a Class D felony, and ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B felony.
Jodi Ann Sindt, 49, Udell, conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B felony and ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B felony.
Nunzio V. Lloyd, 29, Udell, conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B felony and ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B felony.
Marilyn M. Lloyd, 28, Udell, charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B felony.
Anna Marie Scott, 31, Centerville, charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B felony and ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B felony.
Floyd Richard Brooks, 49, Centerville charged with conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B felony and ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B felony.
