The Agency man facing federal child pornography charges will remain in custody after deciding against a hearing on his detention.
Those facing federal charges have the right to seek a hearing to determine whether they should remain in custody pending trial. Court documents show Kenneth Williams, 45, opted not to seek his release. The court then found there are "no conditions or combination of conditions which reasonably assure the appearance of the defendant and/or any other person or the safety of the community."
Williams faces two charges: Receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography. Both are felonies. The indictment accuses Williams of receiving images of minors engaged in sexual activity between November 7-15, 2011. The possession charge dates to November 17, 2011.
Williams is currently scheduled to go on trial January 7, 2013, though delays in felony cases are common. The judge has set a deadline of Tuesday for any motion to continue.
