Writer explains reason for voting

Pella — To the editor,

The thought of another ‘do-nothing’ Congress because extreme Republicans are in control of the House is alarming. That is why I’m voting for Dave Loebsack on November 6th. You don’t have to be a policy wonk to see that Congress needs more legislators like Dave to turn things around.  In his first three terms, Dave has clearly shown that he is a man at work for all Iowans -- Republican or Democrat.  We need him to stay in Congress! His opponent, John Archer, only seems interested in attacking the other party and insulting fifty percent of Americans like veterans, seniors, and pregnant women receiving nutrition assistance. Archer’s constant negative ads, full of fear-mongering, are not the answer.

Dave has shown us he’s proud of his Iowa values of hard work, honesty, and compromise to bring commonsense solutions to the table. I urge you to vote with your Iowa values and join me in re-electing Dave for a Congress that does something for all Iowans.
