Bill Karr to speak at MCHS meeting

Pella — The Marion County Historical Society meets Monday October 15 at 7:30 pm at the Methodist Activity Center, 308 East Robinson St., Knoxville.  Humorous story teller Bill Karr will talk about the communities of Cordova and Red Rock.  Bill is the son of the late Grace Karr.   For four decades, Mrs. Karr’s folksy column, the Cordova News, appeared in the Pella Chronicle. Listening to Bill reminisce will be a real treat.  Another real treat to look forward to is Bob Baker’s old fashioned bread pudding served with whipped cream.  The public is invited.

For more information contact President Janet Ritchie at 641-842-4895 or Vice-President Helen Boertje at 641-628-4716.
