Wild Ride
Shawn McMenamin, 17, of Pella, didn't expect to be climbing out of the passenger's window of the van he was driving north of Pella late Monday afternoon. While unharmed, McMenamin told The Chronicle that he lost control of the vehicle after driving into some loose gravel on the shoulder of Hwy. T-14 and then crossed through the other lane and ended up sliding off the road to where the vehicle stopped on its side. The Marion County Sheriff's Dept. responded to the scene.
