The public is invited to attend a Legislative Coffee at 9:30, Sat. March 13 at the Monarch Restaurant. This is the second coffee in a series sponsored by the Pella League of Women Voters during the current legislative session.
The purpose of the Legislative Coffees is to allow constituents to meet with their legislators. Representative James Van Engelenhoven and Senator Paul McKinley will be present to give an overview of what is happening at the Legislature and to listen to the concerns of interested citizens.
A personal exchange between the voter and his/her legislator is an effective way of becoming involved. You may come and go as your schedule permits. Coffee and pastries will be available. For more information contact Helen Boertje (628-4716).
