November 24 Celebrate with Sinterklaas

November 25 Pella Opera House presents David Folkerts and Friends
Kick off the holiday season with an annual Opera House tradition hearing the Mighty Barton- Iowa's best restored theatre organ-as well as other vocalists, instrumentalists, and YOU singing along to many Yuletide favorites! Concerts at 3 pm and 7 pm. Ticket price: $10 adults, $5 students.

November 29 Central College presents NPR reporter
The Central College Writers Reading series will host Rob Dillard, a Des Moines based correspondent for Iowa Public Radio (IPR). Dillard formerly taught news writing at Central. Unlike other Writers Reading sessions, Dillard will be playing snippets of his writing as recorded on IPR, particularly his "Being in Iowa" series. Dillard will be on campus Nov. 29 and will speak in the Geisler Reading Room at 7:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

Union Street Players will present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat this Christmas season at the Pella Community Center on Friday, Nov. 30, Saturday, Dec. 1, Thursday, Dec. 6 and Friday. Dec. 7 at 7 pm plus matinees on Sunday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 pm. This Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless. December 1 Live Nativity Scene and Photo Opportunity
"Step into the Stable" and participate in a live Nativity scene at Second Reformed Church on the corner of Broadway and Liberty from 1-4 pm. Costumes will be available for children to wear as they join Mary, Joseph and live farm animals for a manger moment. Or parents can fill in as Mary and Joseph as families create their own scene. It's a free Christmas photo opportunity as there is no admission charge. Hot chocolate and cookies will also be provided a few steps away inside the church's Gathering Space
December 1 Flying Pans Caribbean Christmas
Enjoy the holiday sounds of this steel band's Christmas concert at Central's Graham Banquet Hall, 7:30 pm. Admission is $5 or an unwrapped new toy for Toys for Tots.
December 2 Steve Green Christmas Concert
Get in the Christmas Spirit at the Steve Green Christmas Concert! 2 pm at Pella Christian High School's Vermeer Auditorium. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Husband and wife duo Dukno Yoon and Heather Bayless will exhibit their works in the Mills Gallery from November 12 - December 14. The couple works with metal structures. Their work can be seen during gallery hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
