Red Rock Retro Radio Theatre is excited to announce the upcoming production of its music and comedy variety shows Feb. 22 and 23 in Knoxville and Pella. Great entertainment for an "old-time" price, $5 will buy a ticket to this year's show at either venue. On Friday, Feb, 22, the show will be held at The Swamp Fox Restaurant in Knoxville. Doors open at 6 p.m. Dinner arrangements will be a little different this year. Instead of having a meal already prepared, those attending will be encouraged to proceed upstairs to The Red Rock Cultural Center where they may order and cover their own dinners from the menu until 6:45 p.m. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Feb. 23, the show will be presented in the Joan Kuyper Farver Auditorium at the Pella Community Center. Doors open at 7:00 pm with show time at 7:30 pm. Coffee time will follow.
Red Rock Retro Radio Theatre presents music and comedy variety shows in the style of the radio shows in the 1940s and 1950s. If you don't remember old-time radio or have never seen Red Rock Retro Radio Theatre, you won't want to miss out.
This year's original comedy script, "The Best Job For The Man," was written by Scott Vanden Berg.
Carol Adkins is director. The Red Rock Actors' Guild consists of Carissa Cowman, Dawn Cowman, Rick Cowman, Beth Gibson, Beverly Graves, Don Graves, Michael Irving, Greg May, Kirsten McGinnis, Laura McGinnis, Sharon McGinnis, Jona Roberts and Arvin Van Zante. The Red Rock Players are composed of Marty Adkins, Jacob Cowman, Steve and Barb Waters, Carissa Cowman and Christine Meyers.
