Pella — The 2013 Tulip Time Queen and Court were announced Saturday evening, Nov. 10, during the Queen's Announcement Party held at Pella Community High School's auditorium. The 2013 court includes Erica Schulte, Kate Roozeboom, 2013 Tulip Time Queen Marlee Bokhoven, Heather Van Wyk and Elizabeth De Wolf. Tulip Time 2013 will be held on May 2-4, 2013.
City Administrator Mike Nardini reported at Friday's Community Services Board meeting that negotiations with the Vision Iowa Board will begin next week, regarding funding assistance for the Fields of our Future Sports Park.
Tulip Time, earlier this month, saw extra adversity this year in the form of an unexpected snowfall. Despite the odd weather, Dick Redman of the Tulip Time Steering Committee is proud of what the town accomplished.
