Council approves contract extension for I-80 Location Study

Pella — The Pella City Council approved a resolution approving Contract Time Extension to Supplemental Agreement No. 1 (Location Study) of the Professional Engineering Services Agreement for the Red Rock Transportation Corridor to 1-80 Study during their meeting last week.

This resolution approves an additional 90-day contract extension to Supplemental Agreement No. 1 (Location Study) of the Professional Engineering Services Agreement for the Red Rock Transportation Corridor to I-80 Study with CH2M Hill. An extension is needed to conduct small group input meetings to finalize the location study.

It is important to note, this additional time extension will not increase the City's contract amount of $199,645 with CH2M Hill. This includes the reclassification of $15,850 in contingency funds approved by Council on September 6, 2011. Eighty percent (80%) of the location study is being funded by the federal government. The new completion date is December 15, 2012.
