Goemaat recognized for EMC work

Knoxville — Retiring Marion County Sheriff Ron Goemaat was presented a plaque from Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson last night.

Goemaat has chaired the commission, which is comprised of the sheriff, a representative from the Board of Supervisors and every mayor in the county, for years.

Anderson complimented Goemaat for what he has done for the commission, and thanked him for his leadership.

Goemaat, in turn, thanked Anderson for the work he does and the hours he puts in. He said Anderson has done a great job of overseeing Emergency Management.
