Pella Regional Health Center’s Auxiliary is hosting a “Knit-In and Crochet-In” event on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the hospital from 9 am to 5 pm. People are invited to bring their needles and yarn to help make baby hats for the newest members of our community. The Auxiliary provides every baby born at Pella Regional with a handmade baby hat. With a record 412 babies in 2012, the Auxiliary is reaching out to the public to help make the hats.
Mary Glendening, Auxiliary volunteer and co-organizer of the event, said “Come for an hour or stay for the day! Everyone is welcome, and we’ll provide coffee and treats for a fun day of crafting.”
Patterns are available at the event but individuals should bring their own needles and yarn. Check in is at the front desk of Pella Regional Health Center at 404 Jefferson Street.
