Pella —
The Costume Education Committee of the Pella Historical Society will be holding a Dutch Costume Exchange & Sale on Saturday, March 23, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Scholte Church in the Historical Village. Costumes for sale are to be brought to the church on Friday, March 22, between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m. Costumes need to be on hangers and priced with a brief notation of how many pieces are in the costume. Unsold costumes and/or monies from sales are to be picked up between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 23. Any costumes or monies not claimed by 12:00 noon become the property of the Historical Society. The Historical Society is acting only as a connection between seller and buyer and assumes no responsibility for your costumes or the price received. If you have questions, please call Nela at 628-4975.
If you would like to make a costume, patterns and materials are available at Vande Lune Fabrics. The Costume Education Committee would like to thank Linda Vande Lune and her staff for the time they spend selling the patterns for us. If you are uncertain as to the design of a costume you wish to make, you can view sample costumes and picture books at the Public Library.
