Accident sends one to the hospital

Pella — A truck-motorcycle accident around 2 p.m. this afternoon sent the motorcyclist to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation. Police Chief Robert Bokinsky reports that preliminary investigation shows that a motorcyclist was waiting at a stop sign at the corner of West Second and Washington. A truck rear-ended the motorcyle while it was stopped.

Pella Police, Ambulance and Fire responded to the accident. The fire truck hosed down the area, as the motorcycle was leaking fluids.

At last report, an officer was interviewing the driver of the motorcycle. The driver was transported to Pella Regional Health Center.
