Pella — Dr. John B. Hulst, 83, of Pella, IA, formerly of Sioux Center, IA, passed away early Friday morning at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House in Pella. Dr. Hulst, a former Pastor and the President of Dordt College in Sioux Center, is survived by his wife, Louise (Jacoby) Hulst of Pella; and three daughters: Lizbeth Hulst of San Jose, CA, Susan and Jim De Young of Minneapolis, MN, Mary Hulst of Pella; his grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
Visitation will follow the memorial service on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Second Reformed Church.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., at the Second Reformed Church, Pella, Iowa.
Inurnment will be made at a later date in Restlawn Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The family respectfully requests memorial contributions be designated for either the John and Louise Hulst Scholarships at Dordt College or Calvin Theological Seminary, P.E.T. Project in Leighton, IA, or the Pella Rotary Club.
