Sammie Lee Schmidt- Death Notice

Pella — Sammie Lee Schmidt, 75, of New Sharon, IA passed away Tuesday evening on arrival at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. Sammie, a man with musical abilities, is survived by his wife, Rose Mary (Boyd) Schmidt; their two sons and their wives: Karl and Jennifer Schmidt of Knoxville, IA, Kalvin and Carrie Schmidt of New Sharon; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Lois Vande Krol and Norma Conover and a brother, Fred Schmidt all of Sully, IA.

Visitation will begin after Noon on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the First Baptist Church where the family will be present Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services wiill be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Pella, Iowa.

Interment will be made in the Peoria Cemetery at Peoria, Iowa.

For those desiring, memorials may be designated for Pathways of Pella, a pregnancy support center.
