Pella — Daniel Ray Pope was born on September 4, 1950, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated from Pella High School in Pella, Iowa with the Class of 1968 . On September 26, 2012, he passed away in at his residence in Pella of a massive heart attack at the age of 62 years. Surviving is a daughter, Danelle Meppelink; three grandsons; three sisters: Vicky (Scott) Collette of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Linda (Delmar) Johnson of Monroe, Iowa, Ronda (Randy) Roozeboom of Otley, Iowa; and nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Nina Mae (Stephen) Pope. A private family memorial service was held.
