Berniece Van Dusseldorp

Berniece Van Dusseldorp, 95, of Milan, MO died Thursday morning, February 4, 2010 at her home.

The daughter of Henry and Jennie (Zigler) Brom she was born March 13, 1914 near Pella, IA. On June 3, 1930 in Ottumwa, IA she married Marion S. Van Dusseldorp, who preceded her in death on September 19, 1991.

Also preceding her were her parents and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Van Dusseldorp.

She is survived by four sons: Ralph Van Dusseldorp, of Kenai, AK,

Ray Van Dusseldorp, of Milan, Butch Van Dusseldorp, of Brookfield, MO, and Rodger Van Dusseldorp, of Kansas City, MO; two daughters: Marilyn Van Dusseldorp, of Monticello, FL, and Connie Van Dusseldorp, of Brookfield; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Van Dusseldorp was raised near Pella and lived there until 1961, when she and her husband moved to the Milan area where they farmed.

She was a member of the Milan United Methodist Church, the Sarah Circle, and the Garden Club.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in the United Methodist Church in Milan with the Rev. J. Michael Davis and David Van Dusseldorp officiating. Music was provided by Michelle Dickson and Rhonda McCracken. The body was cremated and the ashes were buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan following the services. Honorary Bearers will be grandchildren. Services are under the direction of the Glenn E. Kent & Son Funeral Home in Milan.
