Pella — Joyce C. (Nikkel) Bandstra, 81, passed away Wednesday at her residence in Pella, IA. Joyce, wife of the late Gilbert "Gib" Bandstra, is survived by six children and their spouses: Karla and Scott Baxter of Newton, IA, Ronald (Kathy) Bandstra, Jerry and Debra Bandstra of Pella, James and Kyla Bandstra of Monroe, IA, Robert and Kim Bandstra of Pella, Lisa and David Wagner of Prairie City, IA; along with 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Kathleen (Charles) Fopma, Jean and Verlan Engle and a brother, William and Lillian Nikkel of Pella.
Visitation began after 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at Calvary Christian Reformed Church with the family present from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church, Pella, IA.
Interment followed in the Oakwood Cemetery at Pella, Iowa.
The family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be designated for the Christian Opportunity Center or the Pella Christian Schools.
