Pella’s Church of the Open Bible announces the selection of a new Senior Pastor

Pella — Pastor Doug Harris and his wife, Rachelle, come from Sacramento, CA, and will begin their ministry in Pella on Sunday, September 9, 2012.  

Pastor Doug is a graduate of Eugene Bible College in Eugene, Oregon.  He has enjoyed pastoral ministry working as a senior pastor in Sacramento, California for 10 years and a youth pastor in Tacoma and Stevenson, Washington for 7 years.   He has also served as a Law Enforcement Chaplain in the Sacramento, California area.  Pastor Doug is an excellent communicator, a proven leader in the church and the marketplace, and has led numerous missions’ trips to Mexico.   

Rachelle is a partner with Doug in both marriage and ministry.  For the past few years, Doug and Rachelle have been active in marketplace ministry as brokers/owners in real estate.  They have two adult daughters- Laryn, and husband Andrew, and their two children who will relocate to Pella as well; and Hannah who is a student at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.

Church of the Open Bible gathers on Sundays at 10 a.m. at 837 Washington Street and various times throughout the community.  New friends are always welcome.
