Four Pella Christian Grade School instrumental musicians were selected to perform in the 2012 South Central Iowa Bandmaster's Association District Festival.
The three Honor Bands represent grade levels 7-8 and consist of 100 students each. Each band will perform a 2S-minute portion of the evening concert. More than 300 students from approximately 75 schools representing 13 counties in the South Central Iowa District will participate.
Two Seventh grade band students were selected to the honor band through advance progress in technique books and outstanding musicianship. They are:
-Grant Van Zee, Baritone, son of Brian and Melynda Van Zee
-Kaley Wilson, Clarinet, daughter of Neil and Angela Wilson
Eighth grade students traveled to Waukee Middle School on October 2nd to audition on scales and etudes in order ot ear a spot in the District Honor Band. Selected for the Eighth Grade District Honor Band for 2012 are:
-Lynae Engbers, Flute, daughter of Brad and Renee Engbers
-Miles Wichhart, Percussion, son of Jeff and Rhonda Wichhart
The District Honor Band Festival was held at Johnston Middle School on Tuesday, November 6.

Pella Christian High School concluded its Theatre Season with “Thieves’ Carnival. on March 22-23, at the Vermeer Auditorium at Pella Christian High School.
