Pella —
The Pella High Thespians traveled to Cedar Falls for the Iowa Thespian Festival on November 9 and 10. Students competed in group improvisation, solo musical theatre and monologue. Micah Zeimetz was one of the top three monologue competitors at the Festival, and he will move on to the National Thespian Festival in June. "I'm very excited to be the first member of Pella Thespian Troupe 123 to participate in national competition"said Zeimetz. The National Festival attracts troupes from all over the United States and several foreign countries.
Pella's Troupe 123 also took a One Act to the Festival for the first time this year. Lives of the Saints by David Ives is a comedic selection that will also be entered in the Iowa High School Speech Association District Speech Contest on January 19.
