The Pella Recreation along with the Iowa Parks and Recreation sponsored a Spot Shot contest that was held Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the Community Center Gym.
The Spot Shot contest is for boys and girls ages 8 thru 13.
The contestants have 60 seconds to dribble from half court and shoot from seven different locations. Bonus points are awarded for shooting once or twice at all the spots. Two rounds are shot and the points from both rounds are totaled together for the total.
All the participants advanced to the state competition which will be held Saturday, March 27, at the Grinnell Recreation & Athletic Center.
