Forest City (21-3) is the No. 4 seed in the 3A field and Pella is No. 5.
The Forest City vs Pella encounter is set to take place Tuesday, March 9 at 6:35 p.m.
Other first round matchups in 3A have Mount Pleasant (21-1) facing Western Dubuque (19-5), Carroll (20-2) will square off against Sioux City Bishop Heelan Catholic (19-4). The final 3A state first round game pits Davenport Assumption (21-3) against Dallas Center-Grimes (19-3).
