Robert and Lori De Jong, of Leighton, Iowa, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carley Sue De Jong, to Daniel Scott Van Hal, son of Erwin and Patty Van Hal of Pella, Iowa. Carley is a 2009 graduate of Pella Community High School and will graduate in December, 2012 from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa with a degree in Elementary Education, Music Education and a Reading Endorsement. Daniel is a 2008 graduate of Pella Community High School and also graduated from Universal Technical Institute in June, 2010 with a degree in Diesel Mechanics. Daniel now works at Oxbo International in Grundy Center, Iowa. Their wedding is planned for May 19, 2012 at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Leighton, with a reception to follow at Bradbury Hall in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The couple will reside in Gladbrook, Iowa.
