Racheter – Alford

Pella — Annalese Racheter and Aaron Alford would like to announce their  wedding.

Parents of the bride are Marty Racheter of Pella and Don and Ellen Racheter of Iowa City.  Parents of the groom are Thea Brown, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and Ron and Terri Alford, Batavia, Ohio. Grandparent of the bride is Aleatha Racheter, Solon, IA.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Pella High School, graduate of Central College with a BA and graduated from Regent College in Vancouver BC as a Master of Christian Studies. Annalese is currently employed as a computer teacher for senior citizens at Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, IL.

The groom graduated from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO with a BS, has a MS from University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO and a PHD from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. Aaron is a biology and ecology professor at Ambrose University College in Calgary, Alberta.

The maid of honor was Alena Furlong, sister to the bride. Bridesmaids were Andrea Chamberlain and Karen Giesbrecht, friends of the bride.

The best man was Dan Barroso a friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Tim Leven, brother-in-law and Matthew Gillum friend of the groom.

The wedding was March 24, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in McMinnville, Oregon. A reception followed.  The couple honeymooned in Long Beach, Washington.
