Blair – Brandt

Pella — On Saturday, October 27, 2012, Lindsy Blair, daughter of Guy and Jane Blair of Pella, was united in marriage to Josiah Brandt, son of David and Bridget Brandt of Grinnell, Iowa.  The ceremony held at Peace Lutheran Church in Pella was officiated by Josiah’s father, Reverend David Brandt.  A reception followed at the Pella Opera House.

Brenna Dooley, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor and also played trumpet. Bridesmaids were Danna Herrick, friend of the bride, Katie Licht, sister of the groom, and Sara Brandt, sister-in-law of the broom.

Nathanael Brandt, brother of the groom, served as Best Man and also played trombone.  Groomsmen were Willie Stewart, friend of the groom, Krishna Dhanraj, friend of the couple, and Michael Licht, brother-in-law of the groom.

Flower girls were Hannah, Alyssa, and Emily Brandt, nieces of the groom. Ring Bearer was David Licht, nephew of the groom. Barbara Boertje DeVries, friend of the bride, was keyboardist.

Josiah and Lindsy are living in Pella where Lindsy is teaching 8th grade math at the Pella Middle School. She graduated from Truman State University with bachelor’s degree in math and master’s degree in math education. Josiah graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and is teaching ninth grade Spanish at Valley Southwoods in West Des Moines.
