Allison Anne Boender, daughter of Philip and Cindy Boender of Grandville, Michigan, is engaged to Joel Eric VanderLugt, son of Thomas and Laura VanderLugt of Hudsonville, Michigan.
The future bride is a graduate of Calvin Christian High School. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She currently works as a cardiac care nurse for St. Luke's health system in Boise, Idaho.
The future groom is a graduate of Unity Christian High School. He received his degree in Exercise Science from Calvin College and completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is a Physical Therapist for Intermountain Orthopedics in Boise, Idaho. An August 10, 2012 wedding is planned in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Allison is the granddaughter of Delmer and Wilma Van Kooten of Pella and Marilyn Boender and the late Comie Boender of Oskaloosa.
